How We Use Data
Public Listing Data Only
We only access and display publicly available listing data that any Etsy visitor can see. This includes product titles, descriptions, prices, images, reviews, and publicly visible shop information.
Official Etsy API
All data is obtained through the official Etsy Open API in full compliance with Etsy's API Terms of Use and Developer Guidelines. We never scrape or collect data through unauthorized means.
OAuth for Connected Shops
When sellers connect their own shops, we use Etsy's secure OAuth 2.0 authentication. We never store passwords. Sellers can disconnect their shop at any time, and their private data is immediately removed.
No Selling or Sharing
We never sell, share, or distribute any user data or seller information to third parties. Your data is used exclusively to provide you with insights and analytics within Woscout.
Respect Rate Limits
We implement caching and respect all API rate limits to ensure our usage is responsible and doesn't burden Etsy's infrastructure.
Our Values
Transparency & Integrity
We operate with complete transparency. All data we provide comes from publicly available sources and official API integrations. We never misrepresent our capabilities or the source of our data.
Seller-First Approach
Every feature we build starts with one question: "How does this help sellers succeed?" We're building tools that we would want to use ourselves as independent entrepreneurs.
Continuous Innovation
The e-commerce landscape evolves rapidly. We're committed to continuously improving our platform with new features, better algorithms, and fresher data to keep you ahead of the curve.
